Communication & Sensory Groups at CAFT

On Friday, the year 7 pupils from the communication and sensory pathways went on their visit to CAFT. We began our day with a tour of the animals. We were then able to  try feeding the ducks, goats and donkeys. At first, a few of us were a little nervous but everyone was very brave and gave it a try.  

After that we went for a walk and a play in the woods. We enjoyed playing with the construction toys and digging our own ditches. We then tried some problem solving and made bridges to get across them. Then, we went over to the fire pit and toasted our own gooey marshmallows. They were yummy!! 

After lunch, we tried out the sensory and music rooms. We loved the lights and soft play areas. Some of us made our own band, ‘Goasis’ and played some fantastic tunes!  

Finally, we had an amazing time in the games room. The slide was our favourite, and we enjoyed racing on the bikes and playing pool and table tennis. It was a fabulous day!
