Forest School Update
We have started the mammoth task of planting some of the 200 saplings we had delivered from the woodlands trust.
First, we had to mark out where we were putting the saplings. We did so by using the 3-stride method.
Once we had marked out the area, we used the T method, we made a T with a spade in the ground then put the sapling in the cross section.
Next task was covering the base with mulch to give the saplings the best chance to grow healthy. We are hoping that in time we can make our field a more diverse area for everyone to enjoy.

We have also been making chalk paint.
Pupils had to crush the chalk with a mallet until it was a fine power everyone enjoyed this part. Then we all added a small amount of water to make a paste and used it to paint the inside of our forest hut.
It was lovely to see everyone engaged and enjoyed making their own paint.
Some even mixed different colours to create rainbow paint.
