Mission Christmas - Comms 2

Over the last half term, Comms 2 have completed a fundraising campaign. Students came up with ideas about how we should raise money and who we should raise money for.

Through a lot of hard work, resilience and effort, we held a bake sale and a raffle, advertising and selling raffle tickets daily for 2 weeks. We even renamed Tuesday to ‘Bakeday’ where we baked 100 cup cakes, a millionaire shortbread, a gluten free brownie and a gluten free chocolate cake. We then prepared our classroom and ran a very busy but successful bake sale.

Following our bake sale and raffle, we raised a grand total of £628 to donate to Mission Christmas! This was such an amazing effort.

This week, we went shopping for toys at Argos and B&M spending all of our money and visited the Mission Christmas headquarters to deliver our presents. Our students were passionate about the work we have done and were telling workers what we had done to raise money and who we are helping.

Our contribution will help make sure the 35,000 children they have agreed to support this year will be able to open a Christmas present this year.

I am very proud of all of the hard work our students have done to help make a difference at Christmas this year!
