Remembrance Sunday Reflections

Last week in art, Year 9 created some lovely artwork for Remembrance Sunday.

It was heartwarming to see their creativity shine through as they expressed their thoughts and feelings about such an important day.

On Remembrance Sunday, some of the teaching staff took a hike up to the MOD training site, where a Canadian Sherman tank from World War II stands as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made in the past.

It was a special moment for us as we paid our respects on behalf of Year 9. Standing by the tank, we remembered those who fought bravely during the war, and it was a perfect way to reflect and honour their memory.

The whole experience brought us closer together, and it’s moments like these that remind us of the significance of remembrance in our lives.

What a lovely tribute from everyone involved!
